5-Liter Black Label?

I got a message from a trucker whom claims that he saw a 5-Liter BL in a wooden box in Spain, namely at the former duty-free shop on the Spanish-French border in La Jonquera. He says that he at first thought that it was a 3-Liter bus is now sure that it is a 5-Liter, not a display...

Has anybody heard about such a bottle? What could hat be? Price by the way is € 100,00. At least the price would make sense as the 3-Liter in Spain costst around 60-70 EUR so it would justify € 100 for the extra 2 Liters.

Change in Label for NZ Bottles

We have noticed over past months that the labelling on our bottles no longer says Dist. in NZ by Hancocks Wine & Spirit Merchants (see first photo), they now only say Imported by Brown-Forman Australia Pty. Limited (second photo). We have discussed this with the people at Hancocks and, while they were aware of the change, they didn't know why it was changed. Hancocks are still the NZ distributor.

We asked BF's Area Manager - New Zealand, Pacific and have just received this comment:

"Hi Martyn, re product label – we have a standard label across both Aust/NZ and there are common food standards for both Aust/NZ. We do not require Hancocks address as Brown-Forman Australia’s name meets the requirements. This changed a couple of years ago I believe."

Looks like it has taken a year or two for the latest stock to reach the retail shelves.

Anyway, with this latest change to labelling, do we need to collect a complete set of bottle sizes with this new labelling?

Think the GJ & SB changed labelling when they changed the bottles. Silver Select must be very slow moving as the bottles in NZ duty free stores still have Swift & Moore as the Australian distributors, as well as Hancocks for NZ, on them, including the latest bottles with the old wooden SB stoppers.

A week ago I was in Prague in the Chech Republic and bought myself a bottle of JB black.
The bottles in Czech Republic have a build in pourer ( like in Spain ) and I found the neck of the bottle a bit different then "normal"
When I checked this later at home I indeed saw that there is a difference in the neck of the bottle. ( smaller rim )
and I also saw that the cap was different then normal ( with a pin that closes the pourer )
So now I became curious if there are even more versions of "normal" 700ml BL bottles.
Just wanted the share this detail.
Otto
