Gentleman Jack

Jack Daniel's Old No7 whiskey has it's remarkably smooth taste due to a charcoal mellowing process. Jack Daniel had often wondered what effect it would have if the whiskey was put through this process for a second time but never got further than writing the recipe. In 1988 the distillery finally produced this new whiskey and to show that it was in fact a different and superior whiskey to the Old No 7 they bottled it in a replica of the decorative decanter that Jack Daniel made to commemorate his Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey bringing home the gold medal from the 1904 World's Fair. Gentleman Jack became the first new whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in more than 100 years.
