Maxwell House

Released 1971 (US Version) & 1995 (European Version)

The Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee was famous for more than just its coffee. Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey was the exclusive whiskey served by this grand hotel. Lem Motlow, Jack Daniel's nephew, designed this special bottle for the hotel's famous Oak Bar.

This half-gallon reproduction of this bottle was made available in 1971

The booklet on the right is an extremely rare 1971 Maxwell House booklet.

The writing on the front is white rather than gold and several of the pages are different, for example on page 1 of the 'white version' the text starts at the top of the page and includes information about registering the bottle with the distillery, whereas the 'gold version'. starts half way down the page, is headed 'introduction' and doesn't contain registration details.

This 1.5 litre version of the Maxwell House bottle was produced for European markets in 1995
