I just got an email on a new Clint Bowyer Coin from "www.sportcoins.com." Here is the link :

FYI, it is available for pre-order at $19.95 per coin.

I think they made 1 each year. They were made as a NASCAR collectible. I have 2 or 3 of them...somewhere....

To the best of my memory, there were only 4 coins issued. 2005 Dave Blaney 2006-08 Clint Bowyer . I never received any notice if there was a Casey Mears coin made. I believe I paid $19.95 each plus Shipping. I bought these from Sportcoin.com These coins have fine details and the coins are heavy. Here is a pic of the 4 Coins I own in Original Package.
Will add close=ups of both sides to followAttached File  2005-08 Sport Coins.JPG   30.64KB   2 downloads

Marc, I checked the container that the coins came in and no mention of Silver. They say these are One of a kind collectables based on the Military Challenge Coin Concept. After reading more, it says they are Made in China

There was also a Race Win coin produced by RCCA (diecast makers) in 2008.  It has an 07 logo on it, but no Jack Daniels symbols:

The only other coins were the 2005-2008.  Sport Coin went out of business in 2009, so no coin was made that year for Mears.

Not sure what the going value is for these, but they do seem to be rare in that not many go up for sale that often.  I was able to score the #0001 coin in 2008, and have all the others as well.

In 2006 there were 1507 coins made, but I can't find any other numbers for the other years.  They are very high quality, but they are not a precious metal.
