I have one but my labels are getting very faded now :(/> Mine is date 1981 The 500ml transition Lem's are rare, I think the last one I saw fetched about $700 which I thought was a good price, I know Kathy Keys has one also. Never have seen one of these with the cello intact - now that would be a nice find.

I was hoping this auction would pass under the radar :

Is your bottle in the loft (attic) or in a room with windows. The color red on these labels fades super quick when exposed to daylight/sunlight. I have a 750ml with one side of the label red color almost faded away to 20% red tint. :

It's good I didn't bid on it then. That would have been even more expensive. :D/> :D :D ;)/>

My Lem's were kept in the loft until recently - there was no windows and no daylight but the labels still faded on a couple of them - the 500ml being one, it was in great condition when I bought it about 6 years ago :-//> I've now put clear plastic over the label (to this and several of my other bottles) in the hope it helps prevent any more damage and I have now moved it to another display cabinet (not in the loft but still out of direct sunlight).

I think I might order few sheets of archival UV protective mylar sheets from museum supply shop. That ought to do the trick. :)/>

I was leading in the auction for a split second....but didnt win them

Max mentioned that a 500ml transistion bottle alone sold for about $700.
so the end result for this auction wasnt too bad then
