Looks good to me Jimmy. Do you know something that I do not?

The labels could be new, but no way of knowing unless you can hold it in your hands. Even if they are new, still a nice, old original bottle.

The front label is wrong/incomplete as it doesn't wrap around the sides of the bottle enough ;)/> and wouldn't be 80 proof on a quart

I guess you are right Max. I have never been very interested in the Lem's. I really didn't look that close. Just shows my ignorance. Better not listen to anything I ever say again! ;D/>

looks like the front label is too small for this bottle-- back label looks to fit the bottle, though--

My thoughts exactly Max.

Plus, an older one like this should say 90 proof on the rear label but I am not positive.

Like you Mike, I am no expert on Lem's. I am basing it on the bottles you see earlier in this thread. Hence the reason I posted this. To test our Lem knowledge. Like most everyone on here, I am trying to learn. While this is a beautiful older bottle, I would hate to end up paying a Lem price for it.

Jimmy if you compare to this 1973 Quart you will see it does have 90 Proof on the rear lable. Also noticed that the rear lable on my 1973 is smaller than the Quart Bottle on ebay that is in question but to be compared we would need to know the year of that bottle and have one of the same year to better compare.

Yep, your label looks the same as the one on my 1957 in the picture earlier in this thread whereas the one on ebay looks like the one on the fake seal from the same picture. You are right, we need the year of that bottle Roy.

I believe all Jack bottles transitioned to metric between the years of 1978 to 1982. So the question may be, what year did Lem go to 80 proof. I believe Jack went to 86 proof in 1986. :-//>

my transition 1979 lem -paper seal- has the same small back lable as Roy's picture above-- it is full ,sealed, and has the full wrap around label on the front--so i think this is definetely the wrong front and back label on the bottle pictured on ebay-- but j m o- someone correct me please, and again, thanks in advance

I emailed the seller and asked for the numbers on the bottom of the bottle and he replyed " It looks like it is a 22 and a 73". So we do have a bottle to compare with for it is the same as mine. :D/> :D And now we can say none of those labels belong on that bottle being sold on ebay. More than likely someone had spare Lem Labels & applied the wrong labels to that bottle.
