Very nice bottle. Hard to find with the glass stopper.

Not sure of the labels. I will have to do some investigating. Personally, at this time, I think they were added to the bottle.

I love the label. It looks good, but one on both sides? I am curious to see what you come up with Mike.

I am a bit sketchy about how clean this bottle is. It is spotless inside and out, yet has a paper label on it. :-//>

I sure would like to actually hold this bottle in my hand to get a good look at the back of the labels.

I'm not so sure it's fake :-//> I'm not as clued up as many of you on these old bottles but I'm sure that if someone had the knowledge and access to an original label to copy then they wouldn't be stupid enough to put the label on both sides so people would doubt it's authenticity :-//> JMO

I don't think it is Jeff. It looks like the same type and size, but the stoppers are broken in different places. Plus the Lem one has no cork in the neck whereas this one does.

but where did they get the labels ? and if they were applying them to fool people into spending a fortune on a rare bottle why not make two and make twice the amount ?

not saying it is legit at all - I'm just saying I think there is a reasonable chance ;)/>

The seller did offer me a "buy it now" price of $350...obviously I declined not knowing the authenticity of the bottle. Maybe someone else took him up on it??

Max, most printers can make or reproduce just about any label they want to. It's very possible he had the labels professionally made then applied to the bottle. With a little handy work he tore parts of the label to give it an "aged" look.
