Yes, it is real, but I am not sure it held Brandy. It is a good bottle, but way overpriced for me.

WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD PRICE FOR THE BOTTLE

Hard to say about a price. I do not want to say anything about this seller because he is a friend of mine. He is very knowledgeable about Jack Daniel bottles and jugs.
The cap makes it more rare than other bottles this age. It is also very clean. Bottles without labels do not bring the high prices. Personally, I would not give more than $100 for it, but that does not mean it is not worth what he is asking. As I have said before.....if you like it, want it, and can afford it, BUY IT! Rare things do not come available very often.
Also, I do not think he is a Forum member, but not for sure.

The seller - peteyweatstraw is a member here however he's not an "active" member :-//> he's only ever logged in a couple of times and the last time was over a year ago.

here's a couple of pictures from the auction - $300 buy-it-now or "best offer"

I have never seen this top before, if it's correct and of the right period - buy it, how often do you see one of these come up.

Looks Good.
