We got to view this incredible collection again this past weekend. I never get tired of seeing this collection. I believe in post #172 of this thread, there is a picture of Lem Motlow's bank book from the early 1920's. I got to take some better pictures of it.

The inside of the book. There are many deposits in the book for amounts over $10,000 and $20,000. This was an incredible amount of money in the 1920's. It just showed that Lem was a wealthy man. This was also during Prohibition and the Distillery was not in operation. Lem was making his money from his mule trade business and buying and selling of land. This was also 1 year before Lem shot and killed a train porter during a trip from St. Louis. I have always heard Lem lost all of his cash on hand to pay for getting acquitted from this murder charge.

I remember looking through this thread when I first joined the forum (which really wasn't that long ago) and not really realising what rare stuff it was. Learnt a lot in a short period of time and never get sick of looking at the pics in here! Great thread!

Yep, this is marvelous collection and a great lesson of Jack Daniel's history.

I've only heard about most of these stuff and now I'm happy to seeing them
