it looks to be 1/2 gallon size. the guy who gave it to me said he had it for years. any information on its age would  be appreciated.

I think the 1958 is a copyright date and the jug is from the 1980's or 90's.

Just my opinion. I am not sure.

I think these were made in the late 70's and early 80's about the same time the cookie jars were made ... the same company Monmouth  made both .

that's. I didn't think that 1958 seemed correct for this. it is way too nice to be that old.
