When we where in Lynchburg my wife Ineke make those pictures of the Old Motlow Barn on Motlow Barn Road.

As you can see she got eyes for details,

So that was my excuse for waiting next to Jimmy's truck till see was finally ready..

So we both had a great afternoon......

Yes it is a piece of Lynchburg's history, so they need to save it in my opinion,

Drove by the old barn today. It is totally gone.

Not even a stick there.

Such a shame!

Lem's mule barns are gone.

WOW Mike.  Nothing left at all.  Jen and I drove by yesterday and I had to turn around to go see.  There is not even a stick.

I would bet it will be in crops before long.

There are corn fields all around it.

There was so much history in this site, this was Lem's other business, buying and selling mules which is what got him through prohibition (as well as a little bootlegging) can you imagine all the trading done at this spot ?

I'm sure they burned or destroyed it in the middle of the night. That's the way they did the old Motlow House, in the middle of the night.

That way none of the locals can watch & protest the total disrespect the Distillery has toward the old history of the Motlow's, Daniel's, and the Distillery.

The older generation here in Lynchburg are very upset about the destruction of these old historical sites.
