Thanks,

Jim

Tomek,

Are you fairly confidant about the 2nd Generation year? After I asked the question I thought about going to MyBottleShop.au to see what they had written. They have the Hybrid as coming out in 2012. I tried looking at the bottom of the bottle, but I never seem to have much luck figuring out which number is suppose to be the year.

Thanks for your help,

Jim

Ross was in Australia at the time and he found the 2nd gen and posted it here in March 13 so there is a chance it was produced late 2012 and just took a while to hit the shelves

Thanks Max. Just when I think I am clear you come along and fog me back up. Now I must keep researching the question.

I think Max can be right. Ross wrote "just released" that's why I thought it would be 2013. I'm really sorry if I misled you unintentionally

Tomek,

Thanks for finding Ross's post for me. Sometimes we need to piece together several different bits to come up with an answer. I went back to My Bottle Shop.au and did a little more investigation. Not only do they state that the Gen 2 was released in 2012, they say the Gen 3 bottle with the new the new sharper edges, was only available in 2012/13. Which would mean if they are correct that if Gen 3 was coming out in 2012, then Gen 2 must have come out sometime in 2012. So perhaps then the Gen 4 with the new JD signature must have been released sometime in 2014.

1st year is much more common because the 2nd gen was only out for a very short time before they released the Evo shape bottle

Hi guys, this is what i know and have documented:

1st Gen - June 2011, bottom of bottle 2011

2nd Gen - March 2013, bottom of bottle 2011

3rd Gen - June 2013, bottom of bottle 2012 (rare) and 2013

4th Gen - sometime in 2014, bottom of bottle 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016

As far as the labels go, i have to dig mine out and buy the latest to compare

Hope this helps :)

Does anyone know the years of release for the 1907 White Labels? Generation 1,2,3, & 4?

Thanks,

Jim

Jack Daniel's Old Time 1907 Tennessee Whiskey was introduced in summer 2011 exclusively for Australia. During the trial period it was first available in First Choice, Dan Murphy's, Liquorland, BWS, Vintage Cellars and Woolworth's liquor stores. Bottled at 37% ABV in 700ml size “Heritage” bottles with a white label. In 2012 the label underwent minor changes but was still released in heritage-style rounded bottle. First in 2013 they started to bottle the Jack Daniel's 1907 in the new 700ml “Evo” bottles (two years after the rest of Jack Daniel’s labels switched to Evo bottle). Jack Daniel's 1907 whiskey is made according to the same recipe as Old No. 7, mellowed drop by drop through ten feet of charcoal and matured in white oak barrels of our making. However, this white-labeled whiskey develops a sweeter taste and a light character as it matures in the cooler areas of barrel house and for some les period of time. The Jack Daniel's 1907 name pays tribute to the year that Jack Daniel entrusted his distillery to his nephew and later distillery proprietor, Lem Motlow. That same year, Lem introduced a white-labeled, lighter version of Jack's whiskey.

I have 3 bottles:

1: Bottle mold embossment is 11’. neck label serial no. 10020813, front 10020811SL, back 10020812SL, IMPORT: BROWN-FORMAN AUSTRALIA PTY. LIMITED, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

2: Bottle mold embossment is 11’. neck label serial no. 10023955, front 10023994SL, back 10023995SL, IMPORT: BROWN-FORMAN AUSTRALIA PTY. LIMITED, SURRY HILLS, NSW, AUSTRALIA

3: Bottle mold embossment is 16’.neck label serial no. 10024669, front 10024667SL, back 10024648SL, IMPORT: BROWN-FORMAN AUSTRALIA PTY. LIMITED, SURRY HILLS, NSW, AUSTRALIA
