Rev. Dan Houston Call is the man from what I have been told took Jack Daniel in at a very young age of 7 years old and from Dan Call's farm Jack Daniel learned the art of making Sour Mash Whiskey. Jack, from what I was told had ran away from home at 6 years old, for he did not like his step mother and had lived with Felix Waggoneer family until he met Dan Call.

These pics were furnished to me by Brad Call of Call Family Distillers. Brad Call is kin to Rev Dan Call and also a famous Moonshiner known as Willie Clay "Uncatchable"Call in an area known as "“Hells Half Acre” in Wilkesboro,North Carolina

Max, Brad has been a pleasure to talk with. He has information and documents he wants to get known to the public on Jack Daniel and Dan Call. I have seen some documents and heard his ideas on some things that I agree with. Still got more to come to release. Got a surprise to an old question that seems to make perfect sense.

Correction:

Waggoner, instead of Waggoneer. When I spelled Felix Waggoner's name, I spelled it wrong, so I am making a correction.
