I guess I could ask, but they won't tell me the truth.    :dunno

Paul should know, but he may not can tell.

I heard myself from a very reliable source that this rumour does turn out to be true ... apparently the distillery staff were not informed about it until very recently.

It may be a true, as the new labels just has been approved...

Those would be great. I really like the small little changes to the label.

there are many of us who have been collecting for many years-- and thank goodness for that --but the point is to get NEW collectors-- younger folks who will (hopefully ) get bit by the Jack bug and carry on what we are doing because of our passion  and love of Jack -- as time goes on , I see that it is Jack Daniels that brings us together, but it is the people whom i have met along the way--and have become like brothers and sisters to me -- it is sooooo wonderful the relationships I have made over the last 15 years of such great people  i feel we are a family even though some of us are thousands miles apart and some are just a few miles away--but it is times like this past weekend we have our "family" reunion and all is well -- i think i can last only a few weeks now from our time together -- but i know the "glow" will wear off and then will long to do it again !!    It seems that time is beginning to be our worst enemy-- so for now I cherish our time together and long for those we have lost-- My friends, brothers, sisters of Jack  ARE my family

I was told by Jeff last week at a selection is that they are struggling getting it the right “Color”. To follow the labeling guidelines, it has to go in a barrel even if for just a day. Trying to keep it from looking like “piss” from even that short time in the Barrel. This set was done for Collectors because of the whole fake before and after scandal. They truly felt bad for folks about all that.

So there will be an extra step that will make it different from the original bottles. Wonder why they have to put it in the barrel? I thought it was just before charcoal process and after charcoal process. Nice of B&F to care enough to spend their time to try to remedy a bad situation that they really had nothing to do with.

I agree with Jim. Granted the new labels state aged for one day, but why change the process from the original ones as they were not 1 day barrel aged. I wonder how much it would cost just to change the labels and not age for one day.
